Job summary

Costa Farms, headquartered in Miami, FL, is seeking a Maintenance Planner to improve workforce productivity by planning and coordinating maintenance work across the facility. The role reports to the Maintenance Manager and interfaces with Operations, Engineering, and Planning teams.

The position requires CMMS familiarity, basic mechanical knowledge, and strong organizational skills. Flexible hours, occasional night/weekend work, and a focus on cost reduction and equipment reliability are

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience or ability to learn CMMS system.
• Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in heavy industrial field.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and aptitude.
• Mathematical and documentation skills.
• Advanced computer skills (email, internet, data entry).
• Able to work nights and weekends.
• Able to pass physical and respiratory exam.

Responsibilities

• Identify elements of an executable work package with materials, tools, permits, and labor requirements.
• Ongoing training of team members to ensure process consistency.
• Generate requisitions for tools, materials, or contractor services.
• Maintain historical data in CMMS or databases.
• Manage backlog of planning work and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure proper closure of maintenance orders and follow-up orders.
• Collaborate with Operations and Maintenance to identify needs.
• Prioritize and organize work approved for planning; coordinate with Purchasing.
• Determine if a job is ready to schedule and update work orders.
• Attend weekly scheduling meetings and monitor maintenance program effectiveness.
• Support continuous improvement of processes and participate in capital planning.
