Job summary

The State of Hawaii is seeking an Engineer III to perform moderately difficult professional engineering work in planning, design, construction, maintenance, operation and/or evaluation of engineering projects or facilities. The incumbent may assist higher-level engineers on more complex projects and will perform related duties as assigned.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, two years of relevant experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Two years of progressively responsible professional engineering experience for Engineer III.
• Must possess a valid driver's license at time of appointment.
• Ability to lift and carry items of various weights with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• The Engineer III performs moderately difficult professional engineering work in planning, design, construction, maintenance, operation and/or evaluation of engineering projects or facilities or assists higher-level engineers on more complex projects.
