Job summary

State of Hawaiʻi is seeking an Engineer III to perform moderately difficult professional engineering work in planning, design, construction, maintenance, operation and/or evaluation of engineering projects or facilities. The position may involve assisting higher‑level engineers on more complex projects and related duties.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, two years of professional engineering experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift and carry items.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college.
  • Two years of professional engineering experience at the Level III.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Able to lift and carry items of various weights.
  • Substitutions allowed as described in the Minimum Qualification Requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, construct, maintain, operate and evaluate engineering projects or facilities.
  • Assist higher-level engineers on more complex projects and perform related duties.
