Job description

Description

The 3D Capture Technician will be responsible for proper preparation of job sites, the conduct of 3D Capture, and the post-processing annotation of 3D models in accordance with standards developed by Preplan Live North America, LLC. This job requires standing and walking for extended periods of time, and will require travel throughout the United States to various job sites. Additional duties will include coordination and scheduling of 3D Capture jobs with on-site client representatives, ensuring a safe work environment, and gaining familiarity with the BELFOR Alert mobile application and its associated functions.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct 3D capture of client facilities using Matter port cameras
  • Support development, implementation, and maintenance of 3D capture procedures
  • Advise, coach, and mentor other 3D Capture Technicians as directed
  • Maintain consistent documentation on client facility infrastructure and life safety equipment locations
  • Utilize tools, systems, files, and drives for establishment and maintenance of client Facility Profiles
  • Support the identification of continuous improvement opportunities for the business
  • Participate in continuing education to further knowledge of best practices and methodologies related to both 3D capture and emergency response planning
  • Become proficient in the use of the BELFOR Alert mobile application
  • Build, update, and support client requests for assistance with regard to BELFOR Alert Facility Profiles
  • Build team morale and promote company culture by demonstrating positive and professional attitude
  • Maintain the highest level of professional standards and confidentiality as it relates to the organization
  • Support BELFOR Alert-related projects and day to day operations within the BELFOR Alert team
  • Support training and development of other BELFOR Alert team members
  • Supervise other employees as assigned
  • All other duties as assigned
  • This is not a remote position. Primary office location is Troy, Michigan
  • Travel is required for work at client facilities throughout the United States. Travel, lodging, and per diem will be provided
  • Job site hours will vary based on the client's operating schedule. Some 3D Capture jobs will require work between the hours of 6:00pm and 3:00am

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED. Bachelor's Degree in any discipline preferred.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of applications, Apple's iOS devices, and Google applications is highly desired. Candidates must have strong written and oral communications skills.

  • Previous experience with Matter port 3D capture and/or Emergency Response Planning is a plus; however, we are willing to train the right candidate regardless of previous work experience.

Physical Demands

  • Occasional lifting up to 15 pounds
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Manual dexterity needed for keyboarding and other repetitive tasks
  • The ability to bend, crouch, or stand as necessary.
