The position pays $25.53 per hour per the collective bargaining agreement, with benefits per the union. Availability for varied shifts including weekends and holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 2 years related experience.
• Flexibility to work early/late hours, weekends and holidays.
• Must be reliable and punctual.
• Ability to read safety rules and manuals.
• Ability to write daily logs and reports.
• Ability to speak effectively to customers and employees.

Responsibilities

• Clean and wipe walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, doors and sills.

• Vacuum, stain removal and carpet extraction of carpeted areas and fabric furniture.
• Assist in setup/teardown of Convention Center equipment (tables, chairs, stages).

Position Summary

Following specific instructions, established procedures, written orders, and plans subject to inspection of work during and upon completion. The Matron is responsible for completing work assignments properly and in accordance with specified time limits as directed by your supervisor. Perform all building custodial work to ensure a clean building. This work will include the cleaning of all offices and public areas and sanitizing of all building restrooms. During a shift it will be expected that this work continues into areas used for Meetings, Banquets and Trade Shows as determined by the Shift Lead.

This role pays an hourly rate of $25.53 (per CBA).

Responsibilities

• Monitors and maintains restrooms and replenishes restroom supplies during and after event functions.
• Transports trash, recycling, and lobby fixtures.
• Polish escalators, drinking fountains, restroom fixtures, etc.
• Clean and wipe walls, ceiling, woodwork, windows, doors, and sills.
• Dust mops and wet mops floor surfaces.
• Vacuuming, stain removal, and carpet extracting of all carpeted areas and fabric furniture.
• Assist in tasks associated with assembly, disassembly, or installation of Conventions Center equipment (table, chairs, stages, etc.).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience .
• Ability to work various workdays and hours to meet business needs, including early/late hours, long days, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be reliable and punctual.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals .
• Ability to write daily logs, routine reports, and correspondence .
• Ability to speak effectively to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization .
• Ability to work well with customers, clients, and employees with a positive attitude and strong customer service .
