We are pleased to advertise a permanent position for a Matron in Neonatal Services at UHMBT. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Neonatal Nurse to take on a senior leadership role, supporting the Heads of Midwifery and the Director of Midwifery to uphold high standards of quality care and patient experience within the Maternity and Neonatal portfolio.
As a senior member of the nursing and midwifery team, you will have the opportunity to shape services to ensure they are responsive and patient-focused.
The role requires demonstrating expert clinical knowledge and high standards, along with skills to inspire, innovate, support, and challenge our team to deliver exceptional service for families. The position will support the Neonatal service across UHMBT.
As the successful candidate, you will:
We operate from three main hospitals: Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, along with several community health care premises.
FGH and the RLI offer a range of general hospital services, including Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units, and various Consultant-led services.

Salary: £53,755 to £60,504 per annum, pro-rata.
