Job Description : Experienced Matrimonial Attorney

You are an experienced matrimonial attorney who understands that divorce is never just about the law or the money. You see the whole person behind the case and want to help your clients navigate one of the most difficult transitions of their lives with clarity, dignity, and direction.

You are comfortable sitting with conflict and emotional intensity without getting pulled into the drama. You can be empathetic and grounded at the same time. You don't shy away from the hard conversations or the emotional realities of divorce, but you also don’t get lost in them. You bring presence and perspective.

You’ve worked with educated, high-net-worth individuals and know how to navigate complex financial situations while keeping a clear focus on what matters to the client. You’re flexible, insightful, and confident in your ability to guide people toward thoughtful, sustainable resolutions.

You’ll assist individuals with a variety of matrimonial and family issues, such as navigating prenuptial agreements and helping clients with divorce, alimony / spousal support, and child support. We offer clients Collaborative Law, Mediation, Litigation, and Negotiation services, and all of our attorneys receive training in these skills and modalities. We work with clients in NYC, Westchester, and Fairfield County, CT.

Compensation : 130,000+

Responsibilities :

  • Help solve legal problems for clients through analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of action.
  • Keep client files properly organized and up to date.
  • Manage client files and strategy.

Qualifications :

  • Undergraduate degree with a legal background and Juris Doctor degree required.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations.
  • Candidates should be great negotiators and communicators, specifically in situations when emotions and stress are high.
  • Candidates should have at least 5 years of related experience.
  • Mediation training and / or experience is a plus.
