Matrimonial/Family Law Associate Attorney

Compensation: 125000.-160000. / Annually

Our client, an elite family law firm, is seeking a Matrimonial/Family Law Associate Attorney, to join their winning team in Huntington.

Our candidate of choice will bring at least 2 years of experience to become a part of our growing Matrimonial and Family Law team! You will represent clients in Matrimonial and Family Law legal proceedings, draft motions and pleadings, handle discovery and advise clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Represent clients in Supreme Court and Family Court
• Prepare and draft letters, pleadings and settlement agreements on behalf of clients
• Must be able to draft pendente lite motions and meet strict deadlines
• Handle all aspects of Discovery and Inspection, prepare for Depositions and Trial prep
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Lexis Nexis

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous experience in Matrimonial and Family Law a MUST
• Must be proficient with NYSCEF.
• Candidate must also be comfortable with virtual hearings and appearances in both Supreme Court and Family Court.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Able to multi task and handle confidential matters
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be admitted to the New York Bar
