Job summary

Mathnasium of San Fernando is seeking enthusiastic Math Instructors to join a founding team. Teach using the Mathnasium Method, support students after school and on weekends, and contribute to a warm, encouraging learning environment.

We offer flexible part-time hours, ongoing training, and opportunities for advancement. Applicants will take a math literacy test, provide work authorization, and pass a background check. Join a team dedicated to building children's confidence and a love of math.

Qualifications

• Passion for math and working with students.
• Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I.
• High School Diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach/tutor using the Mathnasium Method™, terminology, and teaching practices.
• Lead, coach, and work collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting.
• Assess students’ learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions.
• Follow-up with parents and guardians regarding students' learning progress and engagement.
• Become proficient with Mathnasium educational materials, systems, and processes.
• Assist with administrative tasks as needed.
• Support the maintenance of a clean, safe, and professional learning environment.
• Be reliable, responsible, and dependable in fulfilling assigned duties and obligations.
• Be honest and ethical in interactions with all customers.
• Instructors are expected to work at least 3 days per week aligned with instructional hours.

Pay Range: $18-$23 per hour
