Job summary

Mathnasium of San Fernando is seeking part-time Math Instructors to join a founding team. You will teach and tutor students using the Mathnasium Method, work collaboratively with a team, and track student progress after school and on weekends.

We offer a fun, supportive work culture with ongoing training and opportunities for advancement. A background in math and a passion for helping students succeed are essential.

Qualifications

• Passion for math and working with students.
• Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I.
• High School Diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach/tutor using the Mathnasium Method, terminology, and teaching practices.
• Lead, coach, and work with teammates to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting.
• Assess students’ learning progress and engagement during instructional sessions.
• Follow up with parents and guardians regarding progress and engagement.
• Become proficient with Mathnasium materials, systems, and processes.
• Assist with administrative tasks as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional learning environment.
• Be reliable, responsible, and dependable in duties and obligations.
• Be honest and ethical in interactions with customers.
• Instructors are expected to work at least 3 days per week aligned with instructional hours.

Pay Range: $18-$23 per hour
