Qualifications

Degree-seeking graduate student in the Department of Mathematics
Must be enrolled in or admitted to a Cal State LA graduate degree program
Ability to relate well with others and learn to instruct/evaluate students
Demonstrate commitment to working with diverse backgrounds

Responsibilities

Teach workshop sections under supervision of faculty
Attend weekly meetings with the course coordinator and possibly attend related lectures
Proctor exams when needed and assist the instructor
Attend TA orientation at start of semester
Instruct and manage the classroom and develop course design/assignments
Prepare course materials and activities for the classroom
Administer examinations and assess student performance
Maintain office hours and tutor students
