Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a qualified high school math teacher to deliver Algebra 1 and Geometry to students in grades 9–12. The candidate must hold a Massachusetts teaching license for high school math and a DESE license for mathematics (8–12).

Responsibilities include aligning with the district and state curricula, assessing student progress, and collaborating with other math teachers. The position starts January 2027 and is full-time.

Job description

The candidate would teach a variety of classes including but not limited to Algebra 1 and Geometry to students ranging from grades 9 through 12. The candidate should have a current Massachusetts teaching license in high school math. The candidate will be expected to align their teaching to the district and state curriculum; to regularly assess students for learning comprehension and to modify their teaching to ensure that students are learning; to provide a classroom that is conducive to the learning needs of all students. The candidate will also be expected to collaborate with other teachers teaching the same courses. This position requires a Math 8-12 DESE license
