Job summary

Ventura County Community College District is seeking part-time mathematics instructors for a pool across Oxnard, Moorpark, and Ventura campuses. Positions are non-contract/temporary and can be up to 67% of a full-time load, with continuous opportunities for Summer 2026, Fall 2026, and Spring 2027.

Instructors will deliver diverse instructional formats, advise students, and maintain records. Eligibility includes master’s in mathematics or related fields or a combination qualifying the candidate

Qualifications

Master's in mathematics or applied mathematics or equivalent.
Bachelor's in mathematics or applied mathematics plus Master's in statistics, physics or mathematics education.
Equivalent qualification or CCC credential accepted.
All coursework must be from an accredited college.

Responsibilities

Provide instruction to diverse students via lecture, lab, or performance courses.
Assess and develop cognitive abilities, communication, and higher order thinking skills.
Advise students on programs of study and available resources.
Evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback.
Plan instruction aligned with course outlines and learning outcomes.
Maintain accurate records of enrollment, progress, and outcomes.
Select instructional materials and ensure timely delivery through bookstore procedures.
Update course content in line with new theory and industry developments.
Update syllabi and collaborate to assess measurable outcomes.
