Job summary

Louisiana Delta Community College is seeking a 9‑month, unclassified faculty member in Mathematics to teach an initial load of 15 credit hours per semester in Monroe, LA. The role involves curriculum design within state guidelines and active participation in assessment, advisory, and college committees.

The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s in mathematics or a related field with experience in teaching at the college level, and familiarity with BANNER and CANVAS.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in mathematics or related field from a regionally accredited institution with 18 graduate semester hours in mathematics.
• Three years of successful college-level teaching experience and knowledge of BANNER and CANVAS is preferred.
• Must have basic computer literacy, use varied teaching techniques for diverse learners, and experience in computer-assisted instruction.
• Ability to design, develop, and evaluate instructional programs and curricula in mathematics; strong customer service, multitasking, and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to travel and/or teach at various hours and locations; promote professionalism and commitment to LDCC."

Responsibilities

• Teach a base load of 15 academic credit hours for the Spring and Fall semesters.
• Plan, develop, and use effective teaching methods and materials for diverse learners and learning styles.
• Maintain office hours, grade records, and course assessment data.
• Participate in student recruitment, placement, advisement, and college committees.
• Support academic planning, program evaluation, and continuous improvement through data analysis.
