Qualifications

  • For courses at 200 level and above, graders must have taken and passed with high marks.
  • For 100 level courses, graders must have sufficient mathematical background.
  • Demonstrated punctuality and precision in mathematics work.
  • Faculty endorsement for courses the grader intends to grade; name of endorsing faculty to be included with application materials.
  • Availability to work the required hours per week: 2.25 hours for 3-credit courses and 3 hours for 4-credit courses.

Responsibilities

  • Grade assignments in accordance with faculty rubric with proper feedback.
  • Complete grading promptly per faculty schedule.
  • Maintain a confidential record of scores throughout the semester.
  • Maintain regular communication with faculty and attend meetings as scheduled.
  • Follow all University of Portland requirements for student employment, including prompt submission on timesheets.
  • Other relevant duties as assigned.
