Qualifications

• For credit classes: master's degree or higher with 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline.
• For workforce education: 3 years of direct or related work experience, other than teaching.
• For developmental courses: bachelor's degree with demonstrated competency; transcripts required at interview.
• Official transcripts will be required at time of interview.
• Bilingual or multilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides students with a written course syllabus.
• Participates in evaluating the instructional process and uses innovative strategies to improve learning.
• Supports discipline by revising curricula and recommending teaching assignments when appropriate.
• Maintains accurate and complete course records.
• Performs professional activities with the division dean and collaborates with colleagues to reach goals.
• Values the collaborative process and adapts delivery to diverse communities and learning styles.
• Participates in student advising and registration.
• Uses technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports, and communicate with others.
• Meets professional assignments per calendar and contractual obligations.
• Complies with Dallas College policies, state and federal policy, and student conduct.
• Participates in college committees and campus events as assigned.
• Participates in performance appraisal and works with others to improve outcomes.
• Demonstrates ability to work with persons from diverse backgrounds.
