The Ladder Method in West LA is seeking experienced educators to join our team as Academic Coaches. This part-time role focuses on in-person math tutoring across Santa Monica, Brentwood, Pacific Palisades and nearby West LA neighborhoods.

Candidates will deliver algebra through calculus tutoring, work 10–15 hours weekly, and collaborate with families of high standards. A bachelor's degree is required, with strong math background and prior tutoring experience; valid driver's license and reliable

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher required.
• Strong academic background in Math, Physics, Chemistry or related field.
• Prior tutoring or teaching experience required.
• Driver's license and reliable transportation required.
• Available for weekday afternoons/evenings and at least one weekend day (preferably Sunday).
• Approximately 10–15 hours per week.

We Are Specifically Seeking Tutors With Strong Proficiency In

Math

• Algebra I
• Algebra II
• Geometry
• Precalculus
• Trigonometry
• Calculus AB and/or BC
• Statistics

We are looking for individuals to work in-person in West LA, including:

• Santa Monica
• Brentwood
• Pacific Palisades
• Venice
• Marina del Rey

We are currently hiring for both immediate placement and the upcoming school year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher required
• Strong academic background in Math, Physics, Chemistry or related field
• Prior tutoring or teaching experience required
• Experience working with high-net-worth families strongly preferred
• Familiarity with LA independent schools highly desired
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional, polished, and highly reliable
• Driver's license and reliable transportation required
• Available for weekday afternoons/evenings and at least one weekend day (preferably Sunday)
• Available for approximately 10–15 hours per week

Compensation & Benefits

• $45-$65 per hour (based on experience and education)

Compensation is for in-person tutoring and is determined by experience, subject expertise, and education.
