DOVE Virtual Academy in Oklahoma is seeking an instructional professional to deliver engaging online and in-person instruction. The instructor will plan lessons, adapt resources for a diverse student body, and collaborate with colleagues to improve curricular outcomes.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree with a preference for those holding an Oklahoma Teaching Certificate, and candidates must be able to work on-site four days weekly in Warr Acres.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Oklahoma Teaching Certificate preferred.
• Ability to meet in-person requirement (4 days/week).
• Experience with online/virtual instruction is beneficial.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be an Oklahoma Resident
• Must come to the office in person 4 days Monday-Thursday.

Education/Licensure/Certification:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Valid Oklahoma Teaching Certificate Preferred

Essential Position Functions:

• Plan, prepare, and implement instructional activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences
• Identify, select, create, and modify instructional resources to meet the needs of students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs
• Assist in assessing changing curricular needs and offer plans for improvement
• Maintain effective and efficient record-keeping procedures
• Provide a positive environment in which students are encouraged to be actively engaged in the learning process
• Communicate with students, parents, and internal and external professionals within established timelines
• Collaborate with peers to enhance the instructional environment for students by participating in activities that include, but are not limited to, team teaching, meetings, staff development, communities of practice, and various committees
• Model professional and ethical standards when dealing with students, parents, peers, and community members
• Ensure that student growth and achievement are continuous and appropriate for age group, subject area, and/or program classification
• Meet specific course and school-wide student performance goals
• Demonstrate gains in student performance
• May be responsible for instructional tutoring and extracurricular activities
• Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating resources and meetings in an effective and timely manner, and demonstrating respect for others

Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions:

• Frequency of travel: Occasional travel may be required.
