Qualifications

• Florida teaching certification is required.
• Proficiency with computer applications as required for the position.
• Bilingual skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess students using aligned assessment strategies.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and stakeholders.
• Engage in planned professional quality improvement for self and school.
• Promote and enhance critical, creative, and evaluative thinking in students.
• Use instructional strategies reflecting diverse cultures, learning styles, and needs.
• Fulfill contract terms and adhere to ethics and regulations of the profession in Florida.
• Support positive learning environment and student development.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of subject matter.
• Establish classroom management enabling active student engagement.
• Plan, align, implement, and evaluate effective instruction across environments.
• Collaborate with peers, parents, community and other stakeholders for student improvement.
• Integrate technology in teaching and learning processes.
• Complete ESOL training if LEP students are assigned.
• Keep school records and submit required reports by law and board regulations.
• Account for school property and equipment per regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the principal.
