Job summary

Equitas Academy Charter Schools in Los Angeles is seeking a dedicated teacher for Math instruction with a strong curriculum foundation and culturally responsive practices.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree, a valid K-12 credential (Single Subject Math or Multiple Subject) and English Learner authorization. You will lead rigorous lessons, communicate with families, support student growth, and participate in ongoing professional development and collaboration with grade teams.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's degree.
• Current Single Subject Math or Multiple Subject teaching credential (internship, preliminary, or clear) or out of state equivalent.
• English Learner authorization.
• Strong belief that all students can succeed.
• Demonstrated experience and success working with students in low-income communities (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead rigorous instruction in math using the district's curriculum.
• Deliver instructional materials you have prepared based on our curriculum.
• Communicate and collaborate with families regarding student behavior and progress.
• Maintain high academic and behavioral expectations for students.
• Demonstrate a warm demander style with scholars in the classroom and school community.
• Participate in weekly grade level team meetings and schoolwide PD.
• Attend IEP, SST, and 504 meetings as scheduled.
• Support ongoing efforts to refine school culture and academics.
