Job summary

ReNEW Schools in Indiana seeks a middle school/secondary math teacher with a bachelor’s degree and a valid Indiana teaching license or eligibility.

You will design engaging lessons aligned to Indiana Academic Standards, lead classroom instruction, assess student progress, and communicate with families. You will collaborate with colleagues to meet students’ diverse needs and monitor progress throughout the school year.

References required from prior supervisor or mentor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education required.
• Indiana Teacher's license or eligibility required.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the achievement of the short and long-term educational goals of the school corporation.
• Serve as the instructional leader in the classroom.
• Design and conduct learning situations aligned to the Indiana Academic Standards.
• Observe established policies and participate in curricular improvements.
• Confer with students and parents at appropriate times.
• Sponsor and supervise extracurricular assignments and monitor areas.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate units of study with student-centered approaches.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Principal.
