Job summary

Morrison High School is seeking a dedicated Math teacher to join our team and foster a student-centered classroom focused on critical thinking and problem-solving. The role will primarily involve Algebra II, Algebra I Foundations, and Algebra II Foundations, with opportunities to lead clubs or activities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong math background, Illinois PEL with endorsement, and a passion for helping all students succeed in a collaborative school community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or related field.
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate endorsement.
• Strong knowledge of Mathematics standards and best instructional practices.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Commitment to student growth and school community.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned to state standards in Mathematics
• Teach a range of courses
• Assess student learning and provide timely, constructive feedback
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs

• Maintain a structured, supportive classroom environment
