Job summary

Hillel Academy of Pittsburgh is seeking a dynamic Math Teacher to deliver standards-based instruction and differentiate lessons to support student growth. You will collaborate with the Math Department and school leaders to advance academic outcomes within a warm, Jewish day school community.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Education or Mathematics, demonstrates strong communication, and is committed to ongoing professional development in a supportive, in-person environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based math instruction for individuals and groups.
• Develop and implement differentiated lesson plans to promote student success.

• Analyze student data to inform instruction and adjust teaching methods.
• Foster a positive classroom environment and promote collaboration.
• Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to improve outcomes.

Math Teacher – Hillel Academy of Pittsburgh

Hillel Academy is a warm and welcoming school that fosters a culture of respect, academic growth, and community among both staff and students. We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking educator to join our fast-growing school as a Math Teacher.

Our math teachers work collaboratively under the guidance of the Principal and Math Department Head to support student learning and contribute to our overall school improvement goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based math instruction for individuals and small/large groups
• Develop and implement lesson plans that reflect differentiated instruction and promote student success
• Provide support and instruction across various math content areas aligned with grade-level expectations
• Analyze student data to inform instruction and adjust teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs
• Foster a positive classroom environment that promotes respect, collaboration, and a love of learning
• Collaborate regularly with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to improve teaching practices and student outcomes
• Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and other stakeholders to support student progress
• Participate in school-wide initiatives, professional development, and curriculum planning
• Perform additional duties as assigned by school leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field (Master's preferred)
• Prior teaching experience preferred
