Job summary

Hillel Academy of Pittsburgh is seeking a dynamic Math Teacher to deliver standards-based instruction and differentiate lessons to support student growth. You will collaborate with the Math Department and school leaders to advance academic outcomes within a warm, Jewish day school community.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Education or Mathematics, demonstrates strong communication, and is committed to ongoing professional development in a supportive, in-person environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, or related field required (Master's preferred).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to growth and professional learning.
• Enthusiasm for teaching in a Jewish day school environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based math instruction for individuals and groups.
• Develop and implement differentiated lesson plans to promote student success.
• Provide instruction across various math content areas aligned with grade-level expectations.
• Analyze student data to inform instruction and adjust teaching methods.
• Foster a positive classroom environment and promote collaboration.
• Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to improve outcomes.
• Communicate with parents and caregivers to support progress.
• Participate in school-wide initiatives and professional development.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
