Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or math.
• Michigan teaching certificate with secondary math endorsement (EQ, EX).
• Previous experience with middle and high school students.
• Urban teaching experience.
• Training in CRPBIS, Go Math, and related instructional methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide world-class instruction in math to middle and high school students.
• Use data to guide and differentiate instruction.
• Learn and grow through feedback from school leaders, colleagues, students, and professional development sessions.
• Build relationships with students and parents to ensure a safe, welcoming learning environment.
• Other duties as assigned to support the Lansing School District mission.

Position Summary

We are hiring new math teachers. This is a half‑time position (0.5 FTE, 1/2 at Everett, 1/2 at the Newcomer Center). The teacher will ensure our students receive world‑class instruction in a safe and welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or math
• Previous experience working with middle school and high school students
• Alignment with Lansing School District’s mission and values
• Valid Michigan teaching certificate with a secondary math endorsement (i.e. EQ, EX)
• Previous teaching experience in an urban setting
• Training in CRPBIS, Go Math, and other related instructional methodologies
