The Math Specialist will provide one‑on‑one and small‑group instruction and tutoring to TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) participants for a learner‑centered approach to meeting success outcomes.
As the supervisor for peer tutors in the program, this position will provide onboarding, training, and oversight of student‑employee performance goals.
As liaison for SSS, the Math Specialist works closely with UWL math department faculty and Tutoring & Learning Center leadership to maintain relationships and align support practices according to curricular expectations.
SSS‑eligible students include first‑generation, low‑income students and students with disabilities.
This position reports directly to the Director of SSS. This is a 9‑month position that coincides with our Academic Year and requires 30 hours per week.
