Job summary

Brightmont Academy is seeking a part-time Math Skill-Building Specialist to strengthen math instruction and support educators across campuses. This role blends instructional leadership, curriculum development, and data-informed decision-making to improve student outcomes.

The position is hybrid and requires travel to campuses as needed. You will collaborate with instructors and campus leaders to implement effective math programs and deliver high-impact learning experiences.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Math Education or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum five years of classroom teaching experience.
  • Experience developing, implementing, or managing curriculum.
  • Proficiency with learning management systems and Google Workspace.
  • Ability to work independently and with others to improve instructional programs.
  • Ability to iterate on materials based on feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Lead virtual professional learning sessions for instructors using research-based literacy strategies.
  • Design and refine curriculum maps to ensure alignment and coherence.
  • Customize student learning pathways based on assessments and strengths.
  • Develop instructional guides, resources, and implementation support for instructors.
  • Collect and report data to guide instructional improvements.
  • Conduct curriculum benchmarking and program evaluations for long-term planning.
  • Analyze student performance data and assess curriculum effectiveness.
  • Manage multiple projects with priorities and deadlines.
  • Support instruction using Google Workspace and learning platforms.
  • Contribute to cross-team projects and instructional innovation.

We are seeking a collaborative and innovative Math Skill-Building Specialist who is passionate about strengthening literacy instruction and supporting educators in delivering high-impact learning experiences. This role blends instructional leadership, curriculum development, and data-informed decision-making to improve student outcomes across campuses.

This is a hybrid role. Must be able to travel to, and work from, a campus when required. Visit the Brightmont website to find your local campus.

Responsibilities:

Lead engaging and effective virtual professional learning sessions that equip instructors with research-based literacy strategies and best practices.

Design and refine curriculum maps and frameworks to ensure alignment, instructional coherence, and meaningful student impact.

Customize student learning pathways based on individual strengths, skill gaps, and assessment data.

Partner with campuses and the training team to develop instructional guides, math resources, and implementation support for instructors.

Support the collection, interpretation, and reporting of student and instructor data to guide instructional improvements.

Conduct curriculum benchmarking and program evaluations to inform instructional strategy and long-term planning.

Analyze student performance data and evaluate curriculum effectiveness and academic resources.

Manage multiple projects by organizing priorities, meeting deadlines, and following through on key initiatives.

Navigate and leverage Google Workspace and learning platforms to support instruction, collaboration, and documentation.

Contribute to special projects and cross-team initiatives that support instructional innovation and program development.
