Job summary

Sheridan School District 2 is seeking a Math and Reading Intervention Teacher at Alice Terry Elementary who has experience working with multilingual learners and students requiring additional academic support. This role focuses on providing targeted literacy and mathematics instruction beyond Tier I classroom instruction and collaborates with classroom teachers, intervention staff, and administrators.

The ideal candidate holds a Colorado Teaching License with Science of Reading certification,

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Colorado Teaching License and Science of Reading Certification.
• K-3 teachers must hold an Evidence-Based Reading Training certification or be willing to complete training immediately.
• Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based literacy and mathematics instruction and intervention practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan for effective use of intervention time utilizing district-approved literacy and mathematics programs.
• Analyze universal screening, diagnostic, and progress-monitoring data to identify student needs and determine intervention groups.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, intervention staff, and instructional support personnel.
• Participate in weekly PLCs, data meetings, MTSS, and RtI meetings.
• Provide small-group and individualized literacy and mathematics intervention lessons and monitor progress.
