JOB SUMMARY: Long term substitute math teacher needed for an estimated 12 week period; likely beginning this spring and into the start of the 2025-2026 school year. Candidate may be able to work with the current teacher this spring before assuming full substitute role.

• SUBSTITUTE PAY & BENEFITS:
• Days 1-30 in the school year: $105 per day.
• Days 31-60 in the school year: $115 per day.
• Day 61+ in the school year: $257.79 per day; ORC 3319.10 benefits, reimbursement of cost of background check processed through Springfield-Clark CTC.
  
  

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Successful applicant will teach Math 4 and Geometry curriculum for 10-12th grade students.
• Follows curriculum plan. Teaches scheduled classes. Develops and maintains a positive learning environment.
• Evaluate student performance and consults with parents/guardians as needed.
• Implements effective student management procedures. Maintains standards and upholds student code of conduct. Stimulates student interest.
• Maintains accurate records and submits reports on time.
• Promotes favorable image of the school district.
• Assume any other responsibilities as assigned by the Board of Education, Superintendent, or Administration.
  
  

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• A valid Ohio high school (grades 9-12) professional or substitute license or certificate appropriate for the assignment, math license preferred.
• A record free of criminal violation that would prohibit public school employment. Must pass a BCI/FBI background check.
• Demonstrates professionalism and contributes to a positive work environment.
• Meets all mandated health requirements and complies with drug-free workplace rules and board policies.
