Qualifications

• Must be a high school graduate or GED.
• Experience with students or parents as approved by the superintendent.
• Experience in church-related schools, day camps, youth groups, or similar.
• Or be an 18+ high school student.
• Have a 70+ in two or more education/training courses (three+ credits) per district.
• Courses include Instructional Practices (130.164) or Practicum in Education and Training (130.165).

Responsibilities

• Assist Teacher or Coordinator in all areas of work.
• Implement instructional program and lesson plans under supervision.
• Assist with understanding assessments.
• Assist teachers in checking daily goals.
• Motivate students for maximum learning.
• Participate in faculty and professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops.
• Inspire students with consistency, care, and interest to build students’ self-esteem and promote further success.
• Praise students, compliment them, and encourage them in order to build character.
• Be able to facilitate activities that promote speaking, listening, reading, and writing in English.
• Perform special projects during and after normal business hours, and other duties as assigned.
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
