The position requires a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) and experience in higher education or tutoring. The role may involve varied shifts including mornings, middays, and evenings, with a focus on student retention and outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in related subject area.
  • Experience tutoring or supplemental instruction is a plus.
  • Experience with diverse student populations in higher education.
  • Ability to adapt to adult learning styles and differentiates instruction.

Responsibilities

  • Provide tutoring and academic support to Augusta Technical College students in the Success Center.
  • Develop and prepare teaching materials aligned to student goals and abilities.
  • Maintain a positive, encouraging environment to foster learning.
  • Monitor student progress and provide progress reports as required.
  • Utilize center monitoring software to track service usage and outcomes.
  • Perform basic administrative duties and accommodate schedule needs (morning/afternoon/evening).
