Position Summary

Mathnasium of Lake Country is looking for an awesome Math Instructor / Tutor to create an engaging learning experience for students ranging in grades Kindergarten through 12th. This opportunity presents the right candidate a unique role focused on helping the community and working with students, as well as a rich experience developing professional skills.

All applicants are required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency (don't worry, it's not that hard) and pass a background check. Following hiring, the new team member is given the opportunity to complete training in the Mathnasium Method. This is a part-time role with flexible hours.

Job Responsibilities

1. Provide exceptional instruction/ tutoring services to students
2. Teach in-center using the Mathnasium Method, terminology, and teaching practices which include individualized instruction in a group setting
3. Work collaboratively with team members to deliver the best possible experience for students
4. Evaluate, grade, and correct student work and homework
5. Support the maintenance of a clean learning environment
6. Assist with non-teaching/ instructional tasks as needed

Qualifications

1. A passion for math and working with students
2. Excellent communication skills
3. Solid math competency through at least Algebra I
4. Ability to balance various ongoing tasks
5. Willingness to learn and be trained
