Job summary

Mathnasium of South Elgin is seeking enthusiastic Math Instructors to teach and tutor K-12 students in-center using the Mathnasium Method. You’ll deliver personalized instruction, track progress, and foster a positive math-learning environment.

This part-time role offers after-school and weekend hours, a supportive team, ongoing training, and opportunities for advancement. If you’re passionate about helping kids understand and enjoy math, we’d love to meet you!

Qualifications

• Passion for math and helping students.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Eager to learn and be trained.
• Strong math proficiency through Algebra I.

Responsibilities

• Teach/tutor in-center, online, and/or hybrid using Mathnasium Method.
• Collaborate with teammates to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting.
• Assess students' learning progress and engagement during sessions.
• Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes.
• Support a safe, professional learning environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Teach/tutor in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method™, terminology, and teaching practices
• Work collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting
• Assess students’ learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions
• Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes
• Support the maintenance of a safe and professional learning environment

Qualifications

• Passion for math and working with students
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Eagerness to learn and be trained
• Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I
• Ability to balance various ongoing tasks
