Job summary

Mathnasium of Santa Barbara is seeking a dedicated Math Instructor to help K-12 students build confidence and mastery through the Mathnasium Method, in-center or online. You will lead small group sessions, assess progress, communicate with parents, and maintain a supportive, engaging learning environment while delivering structured curriculum and using digital materials.

Part-time hours after school and on weekends offer flexible scheduling and opportunities for advancement as you develop

Qualifications

• Strong math passion and ability to convey concepts clearly.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students and parents.
• Motivation to learn and be trained in new teaching methods.
• Solid math competency through Algebra I or higher.
• Ability to balance leading sessions with instructional duties.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and collaborate with teammates to deliver individualized instruction in groups.
• Assess students’ progress and engagement during sessions.
• Communicate student progress with parents/guardians.
• Teach in-center and online using the Mathnasium Method and tools.
• Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes.

What you will do as a Math Instructor

• Lead, coach, and work collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting

• Teach in-center and/or online using the Mathnasium Method™, terminology, and teaching practices
• Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes

As part of our hiring process here at Mathnasium, all applicants will be required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency.
