Job summary

Mathnasium Learning Centers is hiring a Math Instructor / Tutor to deliver after-school and weekend sessions, both in-center and online. You will coach students, assess progress, and communicate results to parents using the Mathnasium Method™.

The role emphasizes a passion for math, strong communication, and eagerness to learn with ongoing training. A supportive, collaborative environment and opportunities for advancement are offered.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates passion for math and helping students succeed.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with parents/guardians.
• Eager to learn, receive training, and adapt to teaching methods.
• Strong math competency through Algebra I or higher.
• Able to balance instructional duties with leadership in a small team.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support students in a group setting.
• Assess student progress and engagement during sessions.
• Communicate student progress with parents/guardians.
• Teach in-center and/or online using Mathnasium Method™ and materials.
• Familiarize yourself with digital teaching tools and processes.

What you will do as a Math Instructor / Tutor

• Lead, coach, and work collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting
• Assess students’ learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions
• Communicate student progress with parents and guardians
• Teach in-center and/or online using the Mathnasium Method™, terminology, and teaching practices
• Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes

• Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I
• Ability to balance leadership and instructional responsibilities

As part of our hiring process here at Mathnasium, all applicants will be required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency.
