Position Summary

Join the Mathnasium team as a Math Instructor, where you will teach math in a fun, engaging, and dynamic environment. As an Instructor, you'll use the Mathnasium Method to help students develop confidence, mastery, and a love for math. You'll work in a collaborative team-teaching setting that supports students' unique learning needs while building your own instructional and professional skills.

Key Responsibilities

Instruction & Student Engagement:

1. Deliver individualized math instruction using the Mathnasium Method.
2. Motivate and engage students during each learning session.
3. Evaluate and document student progress, providing positive, constructive feedback.
4. Correct student work and explain concepts in a clear, supportive manner.
5. Keep students on task, redirecting attention when needed.
6. Work as part of a collaborative team-teaching environment.
7. Communicate student progress and needs to the center leadership team.
8. Participate in training and development sessions to enhance instructional skills.

Classroom & Administrative Support:

1. Assist with administrative tasks such as preparing learning materials and organizing student binders.
2. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming learning environment.
3. Ensure adherence to Mathnasium's procedures and student behavior expectations.

Required Qualifications

1. Educational Expertise: Strong math skills up to PreCalculus (higher-level math preferred for advanced instructors).
2. Ability to adapt instruction to students' individual learning needs.
3. Engaging Teaching Style: Ability to connect with students and make math fun.
4. Team Player & Professional Attitude: Professional, responsible, and dependable.
5. Ability to work collaboratively with team members, students, and parents.

Preferred Experience

1. Experience teaching, tutoring, or mentoring students.
2. Previous work in an educational environment is a plus.
