Job summary

Mathnasium Learning Centers in Long Beach, CA is seeking a part-time Math Instructor/Tutor to teach math using the Mathnasium Method, in-center, online, or hybrid. You will deliver Private Learning and Group Learning sessions, adapt to student needs, collaborate with teammates, assess progress, and maintain a safe, professional learning environment.

Ideal candidates are passionate about math, have strong interpersonal skills, and can balance multiple tasks while continuing training and using

Qualifications

• Passion for math and working with students.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Eagerness to learn and be trained.
• Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I.
• Ability to balance various ongoing tasks.
• Comfort working in both Private Learning and Group Learning formats.

Responsibilities

• Teach and tutor in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method™, terminology, and teaching practices.
• Deliver both Private Learning and Group Learning sessions, adapting your approach to each student's needs.
• Work collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a Group Learning setting.
• Assess students' learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions.
• Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes.
• Support the maintenance of a safe and professional learning environment.

Job Responsibilities

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
