Job summary

Mathnasium of La Verne is seeking a Math Instructor / Tutor to teach in-center and online using the Mathnasium Method. The role fits a part-time schedule with afternoon hours after school and on weekends, ideal for motivated math lovers.

You will join a supportive team, receive ongoing training, and have opportunities for advancement. Availability: at least 3 days per week (Mon-Thu, 2:30 PM–7:00 PM).

Qualifications

• Passion for math and helping students succeed.
• Strong math competency through Algebra 2 or higher.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and patience.
• Willingness to learn and be trained on teaching methods.

Responsibilities

• Teach in-center and/or online using the Mathnasium Method™, terminology, and teaching practices
• Work collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting
• Assess students’ learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions
• Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes

• Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra 2. Must be available at least 3 days per week during center hours (Monday–Thursday, 2:30 PM–7:00 PM)

As part of our hiring process here at Mathnasium, all applicants will be required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency.
