Job summary

A leading educational service provider in Humble, Texas, is seeking passionate instructors to help K-12th grade students excel in math. Instructors will teach using the Mathnasium Method™, assess student engagement, and must demonstrate exceptional competency in math through at least Algebra I. Training is provided, and team collaboration is key. This position offers part-time hours after school and on weekends, fostering a fun and supportive workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Passion for math and working with K-12th grade students.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with students.
• Must demonstrate willingness to learn and be trained.
• Exceptional math competency up to at least Algebra I.

Responsibilities

• Teach in-center using the Mathnasium Method™.
• Collaborate with team members for individualized instruction.
• Assess students’ learning progress during sessions.
• Become proficient with digital educational materials.

What you will do as an instructor

• Teach in-center using the Mathnasium Method™, terminology, and teaching practices
• Work collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting
• Assess students’ learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions
• Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes

What we are looking for in an instructor

• Passion for math and working with students
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Eagerness to learn and be trained
• Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I (Algebra 2, Geometry, Pre-Calculus & Calculus instructors make $13-$17/hour)

As part of our hiring process here at Mathnasium, all applicants will be required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency.
