Job summary

Mathnasium of Humble South is seeking passionate instructors to help transform the lives of K-12 students. This part-time position offers consistent hours after school and on weekends in a fun and supportive work environment.

Instructors will work with students using the Mathnasium Method™, assessing learning progress while fostering a love for math. Applicants must have exceptional math skills at least through Algebra I and be enthusiastic about teaching.

Qualifications

• Strong math skills, at least up to Algebra I.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to teaching methods.
• Good communication skills for interacting with students.

Responsibilities

• Teach students using the Mathnasium Method™.
• Collaborate with team members for individualized instruction.
• Assess students' learning progress during instructional sessions.
• Utilize digital educational materials effectively.

What you will do as an instructor

• Teach in‑center using the Mathnasium Method™, terminology, and teaching practices
• Work collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting
• Assess students’ learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions
• Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes

What we are looking for in an instructor

• Passion for math and working with students
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Eagerness to learn and be trained
• Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I (Algebra 2, Geometry, Pre‑Calculus & Calculus instructors make $13–$17/hour)

As part of our hiring process here at Mathnasium, all applicants will be required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency.
