Position Summary

Mathnasium of Mobile is looking for an exceptional Math Instructor / Tutor to create an engaging and productive learning experience for students. The ideal candidate is a bright, passionate, and dedicated professional with excellent interpersonal, mathematical, and instructional skills. All applicants are required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate proficiency, provide work authorization, and pass a background check. Following hiring, the new team member will complete training in the Mathnasium Method. This is a part-time role with flexible hours.

Job Responsibilities

1. Provide exceptional instruction/tutoring services to students
2. Engage positively with parents, establishing confidence and program value
3. Become proficient with digital educational materials & processes
4. Teach in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method, terminology, and teaching practices, including individualized instruction in a group setting
5. Assess students’ progress and collaborate with team members to optimize learning experiences
6. Evaluate, grade, and correct student work and homework
7. Maintain a clean and professional learning environment
8. Assist with non-teaching/ instructional tasks as needed

Qualifications

1. A passion for math and working with students
2. Excellent interpersonal skills
3. Strong math competency through at least Algebra I
4. Ability to manage various ongoing tasks
5. Willingness to learn and undergo training

Compensation: $12.00 per hour
