Job summary

Mathnasium in Barrington, IL is seeking a part-time Math Instructor II to positively impact students by delivering engaging, math-focused instruction in-center, online, or hybrid formats. You will work with a team to tailor lessons, assess progress, and foster a welcoming learning environment.

Responsibilities include using Mathnasium methods, collaborating with staff, and maintaining safety and professionalism while supporting student growth and confidence in math.

What You Will Do...

As an Instructor, you will be a passionate and outgoing individual who will positively impact the community by creating a welcoming environment for our students and families. Candidates will be trained to provide effective and concise math instruction. You will motivate and inspire students to learn by creating an engaging, positive and productive learning environment while establishing a high level of confidence and program value. Instructors will assist in evaluating and tracking the progress of each student through effective communication with the Center Manager and staff, as well as perform operational functions as required.

• Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I


• Ability to balance various ongoing tasks


• High School Diploma

All applicants will be required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency, provide work authorization, and pass a background check.

Position: Math Instructor II

Job Type: In-Person, Part-Time, 2 Shifts per week

Compensation: $17.00 - $18.50 per hour
