Job summary

Central Alabama Community College seeks an Instructor to plan, organize, and teach courses at varied times and locations. The role may involve in-person classes at Alexander City, Childersburg, Talladega, Prattville or other sites, and distance learning delivery.

The instructor will collaborate with academic leadership, develop syllabi and assessments, monitor outcomes, advise students, and participate in program development and committees. A master’s degree is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
• Effective oral and written communication skills required.
• Competency in educational technologies and willingness to teach web-based courses.
• Proficiency in English language.
• Prior teaching experience in the discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and instruct courses across levels.
• Develop and maintain syllabi, competencies, assessments, and outlines.
• Collaborate with Dean and chair to develop and review curriculum.
• Advise students and monitor attendance and outcomes.
• Develop distance learning courses and/or web-based courses.
• Prepare budgets and participate in committees.
