Job summary

Mathnasium of Sparta is seeking math instructors to help transform students' understanding of math in grades K-12. The role emphasizes a positive, energetic approach and the ability to teach through Algebra, with high school instruction as a plus.

Ideal candidates include advanced high school or college students, empty nesters, or professionals seeking part-time work. Hours are 3pm-7pm Mon-Thur and 10am-2pm Sat; the position is in-person at the Sparta, NJ center.

Qualifications

• In-person tutoring/teaching role at a Mathnasium center.
• Experience or interest in teaching math through Algebra is preferred.
• Positive, energetic and upbeat demeanor required.

Responsibilities

• Instruct math to students in grades K-12, including Algebra.
• Maintain a flexible part-time schedule with afternoon/evening and weekend hours.
• Create a positive learning environment and adapt to student needs.
