Job summary

The Math Coach/Resource Teacher at Hillsborough County Public Schools will oversee the mathematics program, support district STEM initiatives, and provide professional development for school staff. The role ensures standards-aligned instruction and compliance with Florida and federal guidance while promoting data-driven planning.

Responsibilities include coaching teachers, modeling instructional practices, conducting data conferences, and supporting textbook implementation and assessments

Qualifications

• Requires strong knowledge of Florida Mathematics Standards and best practices.
• Experience providing professional development to teachers.
• Ability to coach and model effective instructional strategies.
• Willingness to travel to multiple school sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and monitors implementation of Mathematics Program Guidelines.
• Supports district STEM initiatives and instruction across content areas.
• Coaches teachers to improve mathematics instruction and use of resources.
• Develops and conducts professional development for targeted audiences.
• Models effective teaching techniques and provides follow-up support.
• Trains teachers in assessment administration and data conferences.
• Supports textbook implementation and district-wide planning.
• Collaborates with administrators to provide ongoing feedback.
