Job summary

STEER LLC is seeking an energetic and experienced Teacher to lead a K-12 classroom in Arizona. You will design and implement a comprehensive curriculum, foster a welcoming learning environment, and equip students with tools to reach their full potential.

The ideal candidate is compassionate, creative, and passionate about teaching. You will plan standards-aligned lessons, assess progress, and collaborate with colleagues to ensure a safe, healthy school environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher and state teaching certification
• Previous experience teaching at the k-12 level is preferred
• Understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management
• Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Plan a classroom curriculum that meets school standards
• Encourage the development of students’ critical thinking skills
• Prepare any necessary learning materials
• Assign homework
• Take attendance
• Grade assignments and provide feedback
• Document students’ learning progress
• Collaborate with other teachers and school personnel to create a healthy and safe learning environment
• Report and document behavioral incidents
