Job summary

Nevada State University actively maintains an open pool of qualified individuals to be selected on an as-needed basis by the department to fulfill part-time temporary instructional needs. Nevada State invites applications for an open pool of adjunct faculty for in-person, online or hybrid courses in Mathematics.

Applications considered on an as-needed basis determined by course availability. Adjunct faculty members are compensated at the rate of $1,160 per credit hour.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mathematics or closely related field.
• Evidence of a strong commitment to teaching and mentoring undergraduate students.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate mathematics courses in accordance with course objectives and standards.
• Prepare and deliver engaging instruction to promote student learning.
• Develop and maintain course materials, assignments, and grading criteria.
• Utilize learning management systems to support teaching and communication.
• Collaborate with department faculty to support program and student success.
