Our college preparatory elementary schools provide a rigorous educational program that is built upon an intimate understanding of each student’s individual learning style and academic needs.

Key Responsibilities/Outcomes

• Evaluates the academic gaps of individual students in relation to applicable grade or class curricula or expected grade attainment; carries out ongoing assessment of math needs during period student is assigned to intervention.
• Pulls out into separate small group or assists identified students in-class with supplementary instruction and diversified strategies and activities specifically designed for that student.
• Works closely with the lead teachers, collecting data, and providing regular feedback to the teacher and school administration on academic progress made by assigned students.
• Provide home/school connections for parents of assigned students.
• Leads professional learning opportunities that support classroom teachers in improving daily math instruction, including best practices in the use of manipulatives, data utilization and differentiated instruction.

MCASP PROJECT DIRECTOR

• Oversees and implements all project related strategies and activities and ensures major milestones are achieved.
• Convenes and leads the sustainability team to mitigate project risks and ensure strategies to sustain core project components are in place;
• Engages stakeholders and ensure their input and buy-in;
• Partners with the external evaluator to monitor progress;
• Partners with LEARN’s finance team to managing expenses according to the project budget;
• Manages the grant reporting process, per deadlines set by DoDEA.
  
  

What You'll Need

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Training And/or Experience

• 5+ years of successful teaching experience/ proven ability to drive results

• Experience with math curriculums and assessments (specifically iReady math or other selected LEARN curricula preferred)
• Experience in developing and providing staff professional development for adults
• Ability to evaluate and improve processes and exchange information to support learning
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Demonstrates effective communication skills at all levels of students
• Ability to seek out resources to support teachers and targeted student needs
• Able to work with staff, parents and students in a collaborative manner
