Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 5N Maternity/Post Delivery Unit. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for postpartum and related patients in a Magnet-designated hospital serving the Lake Erie region.

Responsibilities include leadership, teamwork, patient safety, and interdepartmental collaboration. PA RN licensure (or eNLC) and CPR certification are required or preferred; certification in specialty is a plus.

Qualifications

• Current State of PA RN licensure or current multi-state licensure through eNLC.
• CPR certification is required.
• Certification in area of specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership in a professional practice setting.
• Leads and mentors team, ensuring safe patient care and role modeling.
• Assigns tasks and supervises staff within competency.
• Assesses patient status, communicates with physicians, and documents care.
• Participates in interdisciplinary teams to evaluate care and outcomes.
• Promotes patient safety initiatives and contributes to quality improvement.
• Maintains lifelong learning and participates in departmental education.
