NHS Scotland is seeking a Band 3 Senior Midwifery Health Care Support Worker for the Dingwall Community Midwifery Team. The post is fixed term as maternity leave cover, based at Ross Lodge, Ross Memorial Hospital, serving Dingwall, Black Isle, Beauly and Wester Ross caseloads.
The role involves admin support to midwives, assisting in clinics, phlebotomy, infant feeding support and parental education. Part of the duties includes working with families in their homes as needed.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Senior Midwifery Health Care Support Worker to become part of the Dingwall Community Midwifery Team.
This is a fixed term, maternity leave cover post. This post is based at Ross Lodge, Ross Memorial Hospital and covers the Dingwall, Black Isle, Beauly and Wester Ross caseloads. The team provides care to approximately 350 women and their families each year.
The successful candidate will be flexible in their approach, be a good team player and have excellent time management and IT skills. This post includes providing admin support to midwives, such as e-roster, computer ordering systems, managing electronic diaries etc, support to the midwives at midwifery clinics including phlebotomy, blood pressure and urine checks. Part of the role will also include providing support with infant feeding, and will involve facilitating and supporting parent education on a one to one basis and group work.
The post holder will often work unsupervised in various health care settings and in the woman's own home. There may be occasions when the post holder may work within the other teams in Inner Moray Firth area and Wester Ross.
This is a part time post of 21.6 hours per week and a Full Driving Licence is essential for the post, along with the use of your own car.
Dingwall has excellent road and rail links and Inverness airport is only 22 miles away. Based 15 miles North West of Inverness which is the gateway to the Highlands and the start of the North Coast 500 which leads to stunning coastal scenery. Dingwall is close to many lovely spots for walks, wild swimming, mountain biking, and Munros for outdoor enthusiasts.
